Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to travel, but since I am a student I don't have enough money to pay for a hotel, and honestly, since I hate hotels, I think this is a greater way to travel, to meet foreign people and to learn more about their culture and country (because travelling is a lot more than see the touristic monuments).

I'm more interested in knowing how people live in their countries, and meeting the places for the locals, than wait in line among millions of tourist to see the Eiffel Tower (for example)
