Hi there!! I am Laura (Lau)

I'm a 23 Mexican girl about to graduate (which means reality check in ..3,2,1) in International Relations from my veryyy small beloved city = Mexico City (more than 20 million people to be exact)

However before that happens, lucky me, right now I'm living one of the most life changing adventures and enriching experiences of my life... studying and interning in Geneva...

Moreover, the opportunity of traveling and meeting new people, locals, talking in different languages, learning new ways of seeing life and immersing in cultures is definitely part of my essence. It makes me joyful, happy, full of life and energetic. Is it strange if I say....I believe I might be a citizen of the world ( I mean ...that is cheesy but I do feel it !! Haha could you sense that too?) ...

Of course, the desire of traveling has been one of my longing desires my whole life and being able to do that recently has made me realize there is more to learn and share with people.

Right now I'm realising it is difficult to choose to become a diplomat or a hippie traveller ....

Charismatic, kind of distracted but a very responsible and adaptive funny person... that is who I am ! From older to younger I can adapt very easy... I really like to have deep conversations.. love to know about the other person's life's and point of view. I'm an older soul and listener.

I'm a little shy, but definitely I have this hibrid personality who can become the life of the party when feeling like it by using my super power dance moves on the floor. I'm definitely open and super easygoing to be with.

Dancing ... Uff is part of me.. listening to music and dancing are something I enjoy a lot.

Couchsurfing definitely is the place for me to know interesting locals and new people that could help me discover a new city with local tips.

I'm super grateful to have any accomodation.. the point of travelling is definitely being able to adapt to any circumstances.

Music- ok here it is when I can say everything. I truly enjoy alll type of music from the basic pop, rock , folk.. Irish kind of music LATIN music to my super recent discovery Balkan music (OMG the best)

Movies... haven't watched more movies recently but I do love the ones that have action, suspense.. chick flicks ... I think my last movie where I laughed like crazy was the one Mounty Python's movies "Life of Bryan" loved it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Mmm pretty much taking the decision to study abroad and being able to travel low budget muahaha

but I think at the moment what I feel most proud of is surviving doing freaking canyoning in Chamonix because when I arrived I thought I was doing rafting ( SORRY in Spanish words are similar!!)

I can totally teach and make you practice Spanish (never done clases but can teach you the MEXICAN way of saying things)

I could teach you some Irish dancing ! And fencing to!
