Hey!

My name is Johan, 27 years old and fairly new to Couchsurfing. Through other means I've been enjoying the presence of several couchsurfers over the last few months and have become interested in this medium so I'm giving it a shot.

During the day time, I'm a student at Leiden University (finishing my Public Administration master, right now working on my thesis) and I work as a social media rep for an online retailer. I'm also involved with politics, primarily at the local level, which is hardly the most sexy of hobbies though.

Right now I have some travels plans: visiting South America in November. I'll be visiting Peru, Bolivia, Chile and Argentina and very much looking forward meeting new people and seeing new sights. I'm currently learning Spanish though my vocabulary doesn't really expand past ordering drinks yet.

Por que estou no Couchsurfing?

Primarily because I'm currently planning a trip to South America late october and all of november. If you're interested in staying in Vlaardingen (a city 10 kilometers removed from Rotterdam), send me a message. Using public transportation, it's just a 15 minute ride by train to Rotterdam Central Station.

Currently I'm not accepting guests, as I'm off to South America for 5 weeks.

Interesses

Fairly broad: as long as good people are involved I like a multitude of things. I do particularly enjoy judging and critiquing people in public transportation though!

Played a few minutes in a World Cup final. Ok, this might not have actually happened but I'm struggling to pick one. I plan on my trip to South America becoming that one amazing thing I've done!
