About Me
Love traveling to meet new people and see new things! Travel is so very interesting to me because I get to learn from others and find new ways to love life.
I am a major cyclist and amateur triathlete. I came up with the goal to ride most of the major mountains in the US. I've done Pikes Peak (CO) and Mt Mitchell (NC) x 2. I've done plenty other road rides throughout CO, including Independence Pass and Mt Evans. Breathtaking. I will talk your ear off about these rides. Before COVID, I competed my first Half Ironman in Augusta, GA. I'm in the process of collecting bikes: I have 2 road bikes, 1 stupid-expensive gravel bike and 3 'daily commuters' (aka, bikes to ride in the rain). When I'm not traveling or cycling, I do research at the university level. Currently, finishing PhD in Operations Management.
More background: I've been riding bikes for quite some grime. I grew up riding ATVs/dirt bikes in the woods. Since 2010, I also got into scuba diving. In 2018, I obtained my Advanced Open Water certification (up to 100 ft deep) and have done some cavern diving in Cancun/Playa del Carmen. Also, very cool. I enjoy all things on the water (ie, boating, skiing, wake board). I like most outdoors things, including the occasional hike.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I traveled around SE Asia alone—managed the Bangkok “red light district” much better than Brad Cooper in the Hangover 2. Saw all the fascinating architecture in Singapore, walked part of the great wall in Beijing, stay in a couple eclectic hostels in Shanghai and Hong Kong. Took a bath in the Blue Lagoon (Iceland). Completed a 3-day stage race for amateur cyclists in Oman (Tour De France-like) & jumped out of a plane with Sky Dive Dubai.
