I won a schollarship to work in Lyon, France at Institut National de Recherche en Informatique et en Automatique (INRIA). I will be staying there for 3 months starting from January. I will most surely be investigating the globule formation in the blood by mathematical models. Sounds pretty nerdy but it's actually awesome... at least for me.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

Because of this internship I want to learn to speak french as fluently as I can, so my short-term interest in this site is to find a french partner with whom I could be able to practice the little french I have been learning by my own. It would be better if he wants to learn my native language too, which is spanish.
My long-term interest with this site is to get to know somebody in Lyon who would be willing to receive me for the winter. I will be living in France from January to March 2016. I'm interested in travelling France and other countries before the internship starts so I will travel in December to europe. In Lyon they have the Fête des Lumières in december so I will most surely be starting my trip there!

I like to play soccer and go jogging. I love dogs so whenever I can, I go running with them. I love to learn things: knew languages, programming stuff, technology, history. I'm adicted to TED talks. I like to travel, specially to get to know people, traditions and... Oh, I was forgetting that I love food! And I want to try whatever new dish I can encounter.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

In Spotify I listen a wide variety of music. From Norah Jones to Pearl Jam and Muse. Lately, I have been listening to french artists like Stromae. I also like classical music and brazilian music like Caetano Veloso.
My favorite movie is Intouchables. I found it very funny and at the same time very touching because I have a blind friend and I always try to bother him a little like you would do with any of your friends, kind of what Driss does in the movie. I also love animated movies, being my favorite Kung Fu Panda.
I am not a good novel reader. I usually read about topics that I'm interested in learning like science, but it's not very often since much of the things I like to learn can be done using different strategies like YouTube and other websites.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Playing soccer I went to do a header and my cheek ended up meeting someones forehead. My cheek bone was broken in many parts and it sunk into my face with the impact. Fortunately, I had surgery and know I have 3 plaques under my skin. My face was back to normal with the intervention. The photograph of my profile is actually after the surgery. I only lost some sensitivity in my face. I was back again playing soccer in a couple of months ;)

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

I've taught mathematics at the university, mainly calculus courses and I've helped my blind friend to pass his last courses of mathematics in engineering. I have never taught spanish before but I will be most willing to teach spanish to someone that is willing to practice french with me.

In the present I can't accept guests in my house. I currently live with my parents and I don't make the rules here :(. But! In the near future I will be living alone or hopefully with my girlfriend and I could receive a foreign fellow.
