About Me

I am a writer, artist and musician with a lust for life! I was born and grew up in London, and travelled frequently around Europe with my family when I was growing up. With an international heritage, I have a natural interest and taste for experiencing different cultures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I find a lot of value in meeting new people and experiencing new places from a local's perspective. Also in the digital age, it's important to maintain real-life communication and interactions, and couchsurfing is perfect for this!

Interests

I love exploring different places, and I am a total culture vulture. Anything to do with art, music, history etc sparks my interest. I also am a creative and passionate cook, again it's great to learn new recipes and cooking styles from different people!

Additionally, I am very passionate about sustainability and technology, and how both topics are affected by and affect society... I write a lot about these topics.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love classical music, jazz and folk music too! I play the piano, guitar and flute, but mostly at home and not in front of an audience!

One of my favourite movies is Midnight in Paris, I think it's beautifully made and a wonderful insight to the creative minds of the 20s.

One of my favourite recent books is called How to Be Human, written by Ruby Wax in collaboration with a neuroscientist and a monk. It's a really interesting discussion between all three of them about the body, mind and soul.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Difficult question... I think emigrating to Germany alone was an achievement - I went without knowing anyone there, I had no job, nowhere to live, nothing. I managed to survive and ended up living there for 2 years, which was one of the best experiences in my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd like to learn about other communities, how other people live and find out more about other countries around the world. Swapping cooking tips is great fun, as well as playing music together, and sharing interesting life stories!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am very friendly and I love meeting new people. In return for your hospitality, I can cook, clean, go exploring with you and give you my lifelong friendship also.
