I'm a 24 year old Filipino guy from Manila who has recently discovered the amazing life of solo backpacking and mountain hiking. Since then I've always been off to new places. If I'm not travelling, I'm sitting in my desk providing IT support. It might sound boring, but it's been surprisingly a challenging and fulfilling job.

In one of our catch-up meetings, a traveler friend, who's been my inspiration in solo backpacking, asked me, "Why would you want to travel? What are you really after? What can you and can't you miss?" I didn't have to think long and hard. I work ass off and save money to experience people, not very much them against their culture and society, but them as they are. Also of course, I couldn't miss the wonders of places and the beauty of food.

I enjoy both fiction and otherwise from Dan Brown to J.K. Rowling to Malcom Gladwell and other authors in between.
