About Me

I'm a Spanish Journalism and History student in need of wandering the world. So far I've been in those places written below and touring my country (if you want tips and need to know not-so-touristic places in my country, I'm the person you need to ask), but I need to see a lot more!
I love meeting all kinds of people (much better if they're open minded and chatty) with all types of interests and ways of living. I personally think that the more different people you know the more you enrich yourself and start to get counciousness of what you have.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

With my eagerness to see the world, I need somewhere to stop myself from time to time and have a little rest. And that's where the Couchsurfing hosters take their place! I think this is the best community ever created, cause it allows people live in the way people from that country they are visiting and also forces them (and the host) to make the effort of totally adapt theirselves to the other person.
And of course, I completely love meeting people from all around the globe, so this is a great opportunity to do that

Interests

First of all, I'm a bookworm. Love all kinds of good books, maybe a bit tired of sad and existentialist books... It seems like it's the only type of story that can be written. I don't really have a favorite author, I think they're all magnificient in their own way. I love learning everything this world has to offer, from biology to politics passing through ancient history... So any topic that comes to the light is a great conversation for me haha. I'm open to different opinions of course, free your mind!
I started studying Journalism because I thought I could change the world with my articles but as I get more indeep in the 4th power world I get more tired of it and how it works. So that's why I started History. I know it might sound crazy, but I'm one of those nerdos that truly enjoy learning about the past (especially our oldest times).
I LOVE nature and I'm completely disgusted by what we are doing to our planet, that's why I try everyday to learn a bit more about it and how all we can change the current situation.
My main goal in life is to be happy with what I have and see happiness in the people I love. I think that being happy with yourself and understanding how the minds of the people around you work everything can be much easier.
As general interests, I tell you, I have too many and surely I'll discover a lot more hahaha

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music, cinema and books equally, so is quite difficult for me to pick "my favorites" but there you have.

Music: old and contemporary RandB, jazz (especially jazz brasileiro), funk, some hip hop (esp. Drake, hands down), south american indie, rock (Rolling Stones, Arctic Monkeys, Franz Ferdinand, Tame Impala, The Vaccines, alt-J...), I also LOOOOOOVE giving everything on the dance floor dancing to some good reggaeton mami!

Movies: that weird and long movies they show on Cannes, Venezia, Berlin festivals...? These are the ones I love (well, there are very bad ones sometimes), but they show everything typical commercial Hollywood films don't do. I make an exception with Woody Allen, his films are EVERYTHING. And spanish films... there are many amazing ones and they aren't payed much attention by the international community sadly...

Books: some of them that I hold in very good esteem and have shaped me in who I am now are "Reading Lolita in Tehran" by Azar Nafisi, "Nada" by Carmen Laforet, "One hundred years of solitude" by Gabriel García Marquez, anything by Roald Dahl, Susan Sontag thoughts, "1984" by George Orwell, some greek/roman comedies... Too many books and so little time

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Be comfortable with myself and with what I am

Teach, Learn, Share

All of them. I'm totally fascinating by the human beings and how we always end surprising each other and creating links we sometimes have never imagined.
