About Me
I used to be shy but then service jobs happened haha(cries)
I'd say I'm pretty laid back - unless I'm very hungry - and I genuinely enjoy getting to know people, preferably over the cheapest available beer. I'm a very unpretentious barista who doesn't talk about Wes Anderson movies (unless critically necessary, perhaps not even then). I created this account a while ago but only became active now in october, and I'm now looking forward to making connections:)) I'm currently based in Gothenburg, but as soon as I work my last shift at the café I'll pack up and move along somewhere else in Europe. I'm planning to get away for about a year, first stop Berlin and that's about all I know/need to know at this point!!
Generally speaking I do this thing where I get into universities in the UK but I get last-minute-commitment-issues and decide to take another gap year and go travelling instead. My friends think I have issues. I probably do. In any case I may start at UCL next year if I stick to the plan. My interests mainly consist of politics, feminism, humanities, photographing people, writing and getting more than 5h sleep/night.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm about to go backpacking solo and the entire point is to experience. both people and places in time. there's obviously a lot going on in the world right now (as always, but I'm aiming at the current political climate with hate on the rise) and I honestly want to get out of my own bubble and gain perspective; to talk, listen and exchange.

Music, Movies, and Books
my favorite book is either Homegoing by Yaa Gyasi or What's Eating Gilbert Grape by Peter Hedges. I really disliked the movie though (how cliché am I allowed to be?). My favorite movie is probably Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer.
