About Me

ABOUT ME
I'm spanish, from Valencia to be more precise, but I'm living in Bremen doing my PhD - and here I will be for at least two years.

I do Arctic research using satellite remote sensing data. That is less cool than it sounds, I spend my days in front a computer crying because my code doesn't do what I want it to... It also means I'm pretty sensitive to climate change issues (be warned!)

Funny thing, my german is almost worse now than a year ago when I moved to Bremen. But hey, I'm learning a bunch of bits of other languages!

PHILOSOPHY
Rice with things it's NOT paella :P (with that issue clear, we can be friends)

...

Now seriously... I could say I'm idealist to the point of being a bit naive
I agree strongly with "Many small people, in small places, doing small things can change the world". So... at the moment, I try to enjoy life as it is, not to struggle with things I can't change and take action with those I can :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Too many things to say here. Briefly...
Fantasy literature is one of my favourite genres, but I'll read whichever good book I can find. Some of my all-time favourites are The name of the Wind, the portrait of Dorian Grey.
I love music. Period. Mostly I hear metal (power, symphonic and melodic) or spanish/valencian reggae, ska and rock, but if some song transmits me something, it's going to end in my playlist regardless of the kind.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spending a night in a church's porch in the middle of Pyrenees. Probably it's not the weirdest place I've slept in during hiking routes, but it was one of the coolest :).

Having the finnish sauna+iced lake experience... Just after seeing polar lights for the first time (dim, really dim, but... good intro for the next time)

Teach, Learn, Share

Language practice! I'm always up to teach a bit of spanish/catalan and to learn as many words of your language you want to share :).
Physics/earth sciences/remote sensing/climate change. Ask as you wish :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a decent cook, and I enjoy it, so if you want I can cook for you! For the moment people haven't complained... Hmmm... Actually, some have... Apparently 'eating so much nice food would make them fat' (sigh ^^)
