Getting ready to travel India from next week, December 6th until mid-April. India has been on my mind the last few years as a number of aspects of the culture seem to fall in sync with my most prominent interests. I decided this December should be the time to go, skipping the German winter and embracing the light in India. For the last few years I have been based in Leipzig, Germany where I just had my first solo show of paintings.

I plan on starting a new project while in India, consisting of drawing, writing and sound. Apart from the obvious inspiration provided by the natural beauty of India I´m hoping to integrate observations from the daily life of locals into the project, so I´m eager to listen and converse when you have some free time. From a historical point, I´m interested in the intense presence of imagery throughout Indian and Hindu philosophy and want to deepen my knowledge and learn about contemporary imagery in India today.

Other then that, I have been practicing yoga and meditation for 2 year, so no better place to be then India to look for tips and improvments.
