My friend (Kat) and I have just finished our university degrees at the University of East Anglia in England and are backpacking all around NZ before heading for the East Coast of Australia.
I am Swiss and Australian, and she is English. We are both easy going people and really enjoy meeting new people and discovering different cultures.

I think that couchsurfing is a good way to meet different people. It is also very helpful to talk to people that know the area that you are visiting as they can give you the best advice about what to visit.

Living in Boston, USA, for a few years was pretty amazing. I think one of the most amazing experiences I've done though was go to university in a country where I had never gone before. It really taught me to adapt easily to different situations and I loved experiencing the British culture during my 3 years at university.
This trip Kat and I are about to do to NZ and Australia will no doubt be one of the most amazing things I'll do.
