About Me

Hey there! I'm Thabata! :) I was blessed with this really awesome spelling for my name but it's pronounced Tabitha! Haha so don't feel intimidated by how it looks!
I'm a very easy going person. I love going on adventures and traveling! I'm always down for trying new things. I'm slightly nerdy, and by slightly I mean I could easily have a five hour discussion on Harry Potter, or Lord of the Rings, or Star Wars, or pretty much any topic you would want to discuss. I love having conversations with people because I love getting to know people! If you have any questions for me, I would love to talk! :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've done quite a bit of traveling before and one of my favorite joys of traveling is the people I get to meet! I've made so many wonderful friends over the years and had so many memorable experiences I fondly like to look back on. My hope is that I can make many more! :)

Interests

This list might get lengthy, so brace yourself.
Reading, writing, Netflixing (because it should be a verb), traveling, being spontaneous, chilling, napping, hiking, playing video games, shopping, cooking, having lengthy in-depth conversations at any time of day, drawing, singing (but only to myself, trust me, I'm doing everyone a favor) dancing while cleaning the house, watching vines, making things with my hands. I could keep going but I'm going to stop.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite band is Florence and the Machine, but I'm always down for hearing new music. I don't like one specific genre, my rule is if I like it, I don't care who sings it.
I have three favorite movies, same rule with genre applies. I love The Grand Budapest Hotel, Life is Beautiful and Fight Club.
Currently my favorite book is Howl's Moving Castle, after that would probably be Ender's Shadow and I can't quite decide from there. I end up loving most of the books I read so choosing a favorite doesn't typically bode well with me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I decided a few years ago to embrace my life fully and unapologetically. Since then, I have been crossing off a vast portion of my bucket list whilst still simultaneously adding even more things to it at the same time.

I don't know about you, but I think following your dreams AND accomplishing them should be merited as amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have no idea if I'm doing this section right, so if I'm not, just go along with it and casually mention it later :)

I try to teach acceptance everywhere I go. I consider myself an advocate for the individual. We all deserve to be happy and I believe that happiness is something we determine for ourselves!

I've learned many lessons in my life but I think the most important is that there is nothing more valuable than loving yourself fully the way you are!

Share? Hmm what can I share? I can share a lot of things, I can share my ideas and perspectives about life and the universe but mostly I can share my smile. I've been told I know how to make people smile, so I would love to share that!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Let's share some stories, have a good laugh, let's get to know one another! I would be delighted to know that I have made a new friend that I might be able to share in some adventures with!
