Hello Everyone!!

I'm Eddie and I am a university student from Ireland. I am 20 years old. I come from Co.Clare on the very west coast of Ireland. I study languages in University and I have met people from all over the world who have come to study at my University.

I have worked as a waiter, a barman and an English teacher. I am currently studying Spanish and French and I love languages and travelling. I love movies and cinema and I really enjoy meeting new people and learning about new cultures. I like sports too especially football and golf.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I had always heard about couch surfing whenever I looked up anything about travelling but I had never actually learned about what this site is. I have recently fallen in love with travelling after I went to Argentina to Live and work there for five months. It was my first time ever travelling on my own and I had an amazing time discovering new places, cultures and people. The whole experience really showed me how amazing travelling is and how much you can learn and change as a person from learning new language s and interacting with new people.

I think the whole idea behind couch surfing is really incredible and it is a wonderful opportunity to explore areas that are off the beaten track and to interact with likeminded travellers and make new friends and have incredible experiences. It is also an opportunity for me to share the Irish culture and to share my experiences with others.

Also the main advantage of couch surfing is that it is perfect for the broke traveller i.e. me. I am currently doing my Erasmus in Budapest and I would love to travel around Hungary and its surrounding countries.

兴趣

I love travelling so much, I guess everyone on couch surfing does. I love how much travelling opens your eyes to other cultures and how much you can learn from the places you visit. I also love cinema, watching movies and TV series. I watch an unhealthy amount of movies but I really love it.

I love hiking and nature and generally just being outdoors (when I'm not watching movies of course). I really like sports especially football and golf even though I am pretty terrible at both. I also love to learn languages and to meet people from all over the world. I also love music even though I have no musical ability I still love to listen to different types of music.

Music: I love altitude bit of everything but my favourite artists include Regina Spektor, Vampire Weekend, Kishi Bashi, Radical Face,mWim Mertens, AltJ and The Parlotones.

Books: Good ol' Harry Potter.

Movies: Everything! I love Monty Python, In Bruges, Inherent Vice, Calvary ,Take Shelter, There will be blood, The Elephant Man, The Shawshank Redemption, Holy Motors ,The Hunt etc.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I had never really travelled before I shipped off to Argentina for five months to work as a English teacher. The whole experience was amazing, I met wonderful people, travelled to loads of breathtakingly beautiful places, learned the language.I experienced everything from climbing mountains, getting stuck in feet of snow, swimming in frozen lakes, spending two nights living on the street, trying new food and just having the absolute time of my life.
