Hi, I'm Marie from Canada...and from Germany! I lived in Berlin till I was eleven, then moved to a small rural town in Ontario. Now that I've graduated with my B.A. ( in Canadian Politics and Psych) I have decided to visit Europe once more -solo. Although I am definitely planning on doing all the usual touristy stuff, like visiting all the big museums an famous sites ( Stonehenge! The Louvre! Every castle in Europe!) I would also like a more culturally immersive experience and to spend some time with nice people who know their way 'round town and want to rediscover their hometown with me :)

I'm on Couchsurfing because I think this is a wonderful way to meet new people and potentially make new friends and share experiences with them. Although I don't mind doing things independently once in a while, I think it would be a lot more fun to do things with others

Food - I'm not a picky eater and like trying new foods!
Music - sadly, I have no musical talent of my own, but I'll see a gig any day

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I once went to a sleepover party in an actual castle when I was 15. For real - a friend of a friend is the daughter of a Baron in Southern Bavaria, Germany, and I was invited to the house - which had towers, a drawbridge and a MOAT. Other than taking place in a 700 year old burg, it was a pretty typical evening though - popcorn and a movie, gossiping about boys, and trying on chain mail from the suits of armour.
