We are a married couple, aged 47 & 48. We are also home owners & have a number of investment properties that we have acquired over years of real estate selling & investing. We are now scaling down somewhat & our dream is to travel the world extensively, but as backpackers & living & travelling like the locals do. We are not interested in being "package tourists". Although we are easy and flexible in terms of accommodation, we do value our privacy, cleanliness being an absolute must. We are respectful, neat individuals. We love pets too & have a Rottweiler who is our "child" back home.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

The challenge for us is to travel on a budget & be able to see & experience the local cultures of different countries. We would far rather spend our funds on experiences & seeing strange places, than luxury resorts. We also believe that it really is not possible to experience a culture & country staying in resorts anyway.
We are also currently in the process of completing an entire apartment which is attached to our home, but with separate entrance and entirely self sufficient. It will be utilized as and Airbnb or exchange unit for future guests when we travel & are able to make it available as a fully furnished guest unit.

Most recently we've done our 1st backpacking trip to Thailand at ages 47 & 48, which was a challenge & out of our comfort zone. We enjoyed it immencly though.
