About Me

"To laugh often and much;
To win the respect of intelligent people
and the affection of children;
To earn the appreciation of honest critics
and endure the betrayal of false friends;
To appreciate beauty;
To find the best in others;
To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch
or a redeemed social condition;
To know even one life has breathed
easier because you have lived;
This is to have succeeded."

--- Ralph Waldo Emerson---

For a long time I lived in a small village, close to Budapest. I also lived in the capital for a while, except for the timebeing when I was backpacking abroad. My first two trips were two weeks long and after that I was on the way for one year with my tent, backpack and mostly by hitchhiking.

During my travels I became a street artist but before and after my travels I tried several things: I was valenteering for Greenpeace, I learnt to be an electrician, I had some model jobs, I was an extra in movies and TV shows, I was working for a financial company, I was a receptionist in a hotel, I was a delivery man, and later a marketing assistant.

Nowadays my main projects are: publishing my first novel and helping with marketing for a vegan restaurant and an orthopedist.
Of course, I would like to build up a life in which I can travel really free and don't have to worry about money at all.

I do my best to live a healty life: I don't smoke, don't take drugs. (Neither medicins.) I'm also a vegan, I don't eat chips, don't drink alcohol (I don't like it in food neither) I don't drink cola or carbonated drinks and coffee.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I started using Couchsurfing on my first backpacker trip. Travelling attracted me all my life but I never had the money for it. On my first journey I really enjoyed getting to know the locals, the real culture or just hanging around with them in their favorite pub. I think you can never experience things like this if you stay in a hotel or in an apartmant and just visit the main attractions.

During my travels I got so many help from Hosts on Couchsurfing and also other locals who just invited me into their homes. I decided, I want to do the same. So when I'm at home, I also would like to help travelers as much as I can, as much as others helped me in the past.

Interests

I'm interested in a lot of things: I like playing chess, I love adventure parks, I learned for a few years playing the guitar. During my travels I started to learn how to skateboard.
I enjoy learning languages. I have decent English which I would like to improve. I also would like to refresh my German which I learnt during the elementary school and high school. When I was on the Canaries, I also started to learn Spanish.

I like some sports: treking, cycling, I do convict conditioning (calistenics), I used to practise karate for few years. I also plan to get to know yoga much more. During high school I did a lot of cycling tours, once I cycled around the Lake Balaton. I also took part in organised hiking tours.

But my real passion is storytelling. When I was in kindergarten, I started to draw a comic book about my two teddys. I've never have been good at drawing but I always loved creating stories. When I was 11, I wrote a novelette then a novel then short stories. I really love to write, now I am working on a prison novel. Beside this I write in my diary every day. I like to read, too. I usually read books about selfimprovement but I also like esoteric, business and entertaining books.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't really have one favorite song. I usually listen to few songs for few weeks. I like a lot of hungarian bands but for example there is a foreign band which I really like, it's Greenday.

I like of course more movies, but the Back to the future series, Mr. Nobody, American beauty, Peaceful warrior, the Dark night movies belong to my favorites.

I really love the book of the Peaceful warrior, it's one of the best book, I've ever read. I usually read books about selfimprovement, for example Fastlane Millionaire, but I really like for example the Harry Potter series too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There is a 100 kilometers long organised hiking tour in Hungary which you have to do within 24 hours. It's called Kinizsi Százas. When I first heard about this, I couldn't imagine how this is possible. I did shorter, 30-40 kilometer long tours before during the high school but this seemed unbelieveble. But I tried it. In the first time I could do it till the half. When I tried it the second time, I made it.

Teach, Learn, Share

Depending on how busy I am, I can show you around the sightseeings in Budapest and I also can give you some advice about nightlife if you're interested. I used to visit a lot to clubs before.

I can teach you a little bit of chess and I can give you some advice about low budget traveling and being a street artist.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I've read books about selfimprovement, setting goals, life,- timemanagement, positive thinkig, and I can share this knowledge. I also have a lot to improve but I've reached a few goals already, so I'm getting more and more sure that everything is possible, that everybody can make their dreams come true.
