I'm a generally calm person, true lover of plainly cooked rice, eager reader and food taster. I can be a good person to talk to when it comes to things that don't appear to make much sense (this I think makes me a qualified tour guide for Mexico city). I also come equipped with a sense of humor that enables me to detect and enjoy irony and sarcasm.

En general soy una persona calmada, una verdadera amante del arroz simplón, lectora entusiasta y dispuesta a probar nueva comida. Puedo ser una buena persona con quien hablar cuando se trata de cosas que no parecen tener mucho sentido (lo cual creo que me califica como buena guía de la ciudad de México). También vengo equipada con un sentido del humor que me permite detectar y disfrutar del sarcasmo y la ironía.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think Couchsurfing gives you a great opportunity to get to know a place through the lifes of the people that live there. Whether you get to spend time with your hosts or not, just by staying in their houses you get to know so much more of the country, than by just staying in a hotel. I want the people that come to Mexico to experience my version of it, as well as I would like to experience different versions of the places I travel to.

Creo que Couchsurfing te da la oportunidad de conocer lugares a través de las vidas de las personas que viven en ellos. Ya sea que tengas la oportunidad de pasar tiempo con tus hosts o no, simplemente el quedarte en su casa te enseña mucho más de lo que conocerías quedándote sólo en un hotel. Quiero que la gente que venga a México experimente mi versión de mi país, así como a mi me gustaría experimentar las diferentes versiones de los lugares a donde viaje.

I like food, books and reading in general ( but a special interest in russian and japanese literature), walking around, philosophy, black holes, occasionally dancing, writing, and caligraphy.

Music, Movies, and Books

It's hard to state what my favorite music, movies and books are. But I guess I can sum it up into this: I like music with meaningful lyrics. I enjoy comedies, horror movies, thrillers, documentaries, and art movies. My favorite authors are Akutagawa Ryunosuke, Murakami Haruki, Mishima Yukio, and Fiodor Dostoyevsky.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think staying alive is a pretty amazing deed of myself. But I have also climbed Mt. Fuji which I consider extraordinary since I accomplished it on my first try without really being prepared, or knowing what I was doing whatsoever.
