Hoi allemaal!

I'm 25 and currently living in Utrecht. I was born in Malaysia to parents of Eurasian & Dayak ancestry, and I spent most of my early life living in metropolitan Singapore. I eventually moved to the Netherlands for university and to experience a completely different culture.

I studied Economics at university, and I'm going on to study Banking and Finance, (Noooo, I'm not a 'Banker bro', and really hope that I never fit that stereotype) and hoping to go into some form of sustainable finance, with open and transparent investments into making the world a better place. I'm a massive nerd, and enjoy most things nerdy (comic books, movies, music, etc).

I'd love to expand my network of friends around the world. There's no better feeling than going to a new country and already having someone to show you around like a local would.

兴趣

I'm a musician at heart. I've been playing the guitar for over 13 years now, before adding other instruments and some production skills (DAWs) along the way.
I have a love for sounds, the way they interact with our feelings, and how they can alter our state of consciousness.
I'd consider my music taste to be versatile (ranging from gypsy jazz to psytrance, and everything in between), and hopefully we can find something in common :)

I love hitchhiking and have hitchhiked to various cities in Europe and Asia. I'm currently planning a trip from Netherlands-Albania, and am hoping for some time to do that in the summer.

音乐、电影和书籍

My music taste is rather eclectic, but my favourite bands include Queen, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Radiohead, Zero 7, The Beatles, and Massive Attack. I also love to listen to various types of dance music, electronic or otherwise. (I love groovy stuff) There are loads more artists that I enjoy, but we'd be here all day.

As for books, I'm a huge fan of fantasy and sci-fi. Tolkien's legendarium are among my favourite works, but other series' like A Song of Ice and Fire, and Kingkiller Chronicles make me feel all nerdy inside.
I also enjoy reading books on historical figures and trying to understand their viewpoints, whether or not I agree with, or even like them.

Hitchhiked from Netherlands to Poland in the middle of a blizzard. Not the best decision but it was fun in hindsight.

Hiked the Annapurna mountain range in the Himalayas.
