Traveling alone is too boring, and I'm not that into hostels. So I guess it is the best way to travel cheap and have fun!

I'm having trouble reading literature lately, since I spend most my days reading academic stuff, but my favorite authors are Nabokov, Melville, García Marquez, Borges, Philip K. Dick.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Did fieldwork with the Surinamese Maroons in the Amazon Jungle for about a year.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can cook reasonably well, so I guess I could teach some Brazilian food. I can also talk endlessly about Suriname and the Amazon jungle (but I'm not sure if that's your cup of tea).

What I Can Share with Hosts

Tips on good spots for cheap beer and great food. Trying to get to know nice waterfalls around Belo Horizonte, but since I don't have a car, is not that easy.
