About Me

I'd say I'm active person always looking for some adventure. I love exploring: interesting places, cultures, philoshopies. I consider myself to be quiet open-minded, but I'm not afraid to express my own opinion.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I suppose it is one of the best ways to get to know the true heart and soul of the city, which the couchsurfer visits. You also get to meet interesting people and share your views and experiences.

Interests

I love sports, but I'm more of a jack of all trades but master of none :D. I don't feel the need to strive for any huge success. Life is challenging enough as it is. Nonetheless I get sometimes carried of by the game and take it a bit too seriously.

Music, Movies, and Books

I must admit I don't spend much time listening to music. I'm your typical top 40 songs kind of a guy. I used to play piano when I was younger, so I could probably still play something (even though it would be terrible).
I like quite wide range of movies. Ranging from Forrest Gump to Star wars. When it comes to movies, I like the plot not to be too shallow. I can't stand romantic comedies for example.
I'm really passionate reader. I'm interested mostly in philosophy, but from time to time i reach for something with a gripping plot. My top 3 are probably are Emile Zola-The kill, Voltaire-Candide and the series of Ice and Fire from George R.R. Martin.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have worked for two months in Japanese village Miyama as a helper of a traditional japanese carptenter. I had the oppurtunity to be the part of a extremely interesting community. I learned to speak the language a bit, how traditional japanese houses are made, how to sharpen the true japanese knives and tools... The carpenters and I became friends and we are in touch ever since. I hope I have the chance to visit Miyama some time again.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share good mood and friendly atmosphere. I am up for discussion about any topic I know something about. I'd love to explore different ways of thinking.
I would really like to share and enjoy our cultural differences and simmilarities with my fellow couchsurfers.
