Hi, This is Chia-Yu Liu from Taiwan. You can call me Minnie.
I major in foreign languages and literature in college, and I had an experience of being an exchange student in Nagoya, Japan, learning Japanese while enjoying cooking, eating, and traveling.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to interact with local people while traveling. Meeting new friends and sharing traveling experiences are a lot of fun!

Interests

I like jogging a lot, not in the gym (although I do aerobics in the gym) but outside. I am not a fast runner but I love to enjoy the feeling of exercising myself and seeing the scenery passing by. Jogging in unknown places are especially interesting!

I collect stones, leaves, and tickets. I assort my stones by locations; make bookmarks from dried leaves, and keep every ticket that I used. Writing journals during my trips are also one of what I enjoy most!

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to Chinese, Japanese, and English songs. Some of my favorite singers are KumakiAnri, Exile, Lee Brice, FanFan... I play the piano for the songs that I like. I'm also interested in photography recently, hoping to preserve beautiful scenery during my journeys.

I also enjoy dramas a lot! I watch mostly Taiwanese drama, which I can introduce some to you if you are interested. As a literature major, I studied American and English literature. I prefer proses and fiction to poems XD

Teach, Learn, Share

I have been teaching English in Taiwan, and learning Japanese in Japan, which gave me much thoughts about language learning and second language acquisition. I can share my thoughts and experiences about language learning.
