Overview
About Me
I'm a 21 year old boy from Cabezón de la Sal, a small village located in Cantabria, northern Spain. I'm currently studying my fourth year of Biotechnology at the Universidad de Oviedo in the neighboring Asturias.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Travelling is probably one of the most fulfilling experiences we can enjoy while being in this endless and sometimes not that big world.
Couchsurfing comes as a incredibly helpful tool to do that, and I like it so much because it simply relies on one of the most precious human values: altruism. Solidarity and kindness move people to open their home doors, letting strangers become temporary fellow travelers in this marvellous journey that is life. As simple and beautiful as that!
Interests
I'm a thoughtful but cheerful, positive, open-minded and active person. I consider myself as a life enthusiast, so every day gives us the unrepeatable and beautiful opportunity to learn something new, do something different and discover what truly makes me achieve happiness.
I deeply like to meet new people, new cultures, customs and traditions, and travelling comes as the perfect way to do such thing. That's why I love it so much.
It might sound dumb, but I really like my ability to feel amazed by everything that surrounds and happens around me. It's something essential to keep life as exciting and emotional as it deserves to be!
I love life, science, nature, sports, music, books, movies and good friends. Silence is a precious gift that I often enjoy, but interesting conversations are also one of my weaknesses.
The night sky full of stars is probably the most mindblowing scenery ever drawn, but sunsets are the moments when both peace and light gather together to create the most lovely pictures of all. My camera normally falls short in its desperate attempt of capturing such slippery beauty, but I never cease to try.

Music, Movies, and Books
It's extremely difficult to pick favourites when your list is so long and rich, but here are some of the best for me:

Pretty much anything, from classical, jazz, blues, rock, pop, indie, some electronic... Radiohead is my platonic love, though.
- Movies
Inception, The Dark Knight, Interstellar, The Straight Story, Mystic River, 12 Angry Men, Goodfellas, The Lord of the Rings, Up, The Imitation Game, Star Wars, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, It's a Wonderful Life, Schindler's List, 25th Hour, Boyhood, The Shawshank Redemption...
- TV Shows
Dexter, True Detective, Game of Thrones, Peaky Blinders, White Collar, Narcos, The Wire...
- Books
The Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, A Tale of Two Cities, The Shadow of the Wind, The Great Gatsby, The Treasure Island, Siddharta, The Hobbit, White Fang, The Sword of Truth...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My trip to NYC during Labor Day weekend this past September, 2015 was one of the best moments in my life. Who could have told me that I was going to sneak into the Arthur Ashe stadium to see my idol, Roger Federer, playing at the US Open? It was just a dream come true, all at once, at the City of Dreams. It was indeed a dream simply too good to be even imagined!
Teach, Learn, Share
I honestly think I can teach people how to get the best of everyday's opportunities. I love to live the life to the fullest, doing different things and learning as much as I can!
I can also teach some beautifully spoken (and neutrally, accent-wise) Spanish. I can play a little bit of guitar and I definitely enjoy playing sports (especially tennis). My Spanish roots might be useful enough to provide you with a sample of our traditional food, although I'm still on the basics!
