About Me

I was born in the heart of Russia in a very small town where people still use wood-burning stoves during winters and temperature comes down to -35. Having enough this romance when I was 16, I took a 39 hours train to Moscow to go to university and study international relations, since I always wanted to travel abroad.
Being a student, I was looking for adventures and I was pretty successful in it making my life full of glaring contrasts:
I slept on railway stations as a homeless and spent nights in five-stars hotels as a dandy,
I worked with some doubtful suspicious guys and with brilliant high level politicians,
I distributed flyers on the street and participated in organization of huge international events (Olympic Games in Sochi, G 20 Summit, etc.),
I assisted Chinese Minister of Youth Affairs on BRICS Summit and accompanied the president of North Korean Central Bank on a gorgeous banquet, while living in a three-people shared room with cockroaches and bedbugs.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As you see, there are a lot of stories to tell and experience to share, I visited almost all cities I planned to see in Russia and I know my country from very different sides, however, I still didn't visit all the countries I wish to and I want to know your country better, that is why I am here - to learn something interesting, to meet someone new.

Interests

People, history, philosophy and international relations. I am also fascinated by ghost-towns and high roofs.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In Sukhumi there is a Parlament building, which was left burned after the war in 1993. There are 12 floors and all stairs are closed except for the one on the first floor. Walking there, we found that it is possible to go up through the elevator shaft, which was completely destroyed, so we did go up to the roof and enjoyed breathtaking panorama, though it was pretty dangerous.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belarus, Czech Republic, Germany, Liechtenstein, Spain, Switzerland, Ukraine

Countries I’ve Lived In
