Currently living in Amsterdam, but addicted to moving around places. Always planning some small weekend getaways to get to know new places and new people. In few months I'm planning a much longer trip Sri Lanka (my favourite place on earth) -> India -> Nepal, for work away projects.

I love travelling with friends, but travelling solo is what makes me feel alive. It's just so much more fun becoming friends with 'strangers' and experiencing places through different perspectives. That's why I love the concept of couch surfing. Why do we have to pay so much money to isolate ourselves in hotel rooms or small bunk beds. Hostels are supposed to be great places for meeting other travellers, but that's really not my experience (everyone just minds their own bussiness).

I love architecture and photography so naturally my favourite activity is just walking around aimlessly and taking all in. I can literally just walk the whole day and I will be the happiest person. One of my other favourite things to do while travelling is cooking while listening to good music and having deep conversations about life. One of my favourite memories is cooking with a fellow traveller at a homestay in Sri lanka, where we found a camping stove and one old pot in a cupboard full of cockroaches (we cleaned it very well). It's mindblowing what you can make and how much joy you can bring with just a little fire and a pot.

In the last years, I have been working and studying at the same time so I stopped taking as many trips as before (also Covid duh), so I am super excited to get back into it!!

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I heard once somewhere/from someone, that couchsurfing and hosting people at your place is a form of travelling. You get to know different minds, beliefs, cultures, languages, foods.. without even living your own house. I believe that we all have so much to offer each other and we shouldn't isolate ourselves in hotels and airbnbs, for me that's not really travelling. I want to get to know you, have some adventures, tell each other stories, cook dinner, grab a drink, you name it, I'm up!
