About Me

23-year-old medical student from Germany enjoying wild nature, vibrant cities and the diversity of people i meet on my journeys.
I believe in open-mindedness and positivity., therefore it's easy to inspire me with smart ideas.
Let's meet, share some time, some beer and stories!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to travel basic and budget. That doesn't mean, that I am not generally willing to spend money. But traveling a foreign country, I prefer spending my days in an individual way and stay at unexpected places, rather than stagnating in a hotel room.

Regarding being the host, I just want to give people an insight experience of my home country and let them participate in this GREAT life, I am living.

Interests

Sports (everything what makes me chase a ball), watersports (swimming, windsurfing, sailing), photography, music (i play the piano and the drums), science

Music, Movies, and Books

I adapt music to my current mood, what makes it very variable. Enjoying acoustic covers and every kind of live music.
I am no movie-expert (I constantly forget the actors names :D ), but have read different kinds of literature. Maybe I prefer novels dealing with psychology. You should read 'What I loved' by Siri Hustvedt!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Experienced the days of "Esala Perahera" in Sri Lanka. Magnificent buddhist festival. Illuminated by the light of torches a parade of prayers, pilgrims and some hundred copiously decorated elephants marched through the night. And why? To honour a tooth of Buddha in a wooden box! People's faith is amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teaching: How to use the manual mode of your camera! Everybody needs to know that.
Learning: How to bake your favourite cookie?
Sharing: Sunlight.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Sometimes, I am a useful person: I am quite smart about repairing things and have both a LOT ambition and fun doing it :-) If there's something to be fixed - leaking water tap, loose socket, misaligned gear change at your bike - give me a try!
