About Me

I'm an Afro-Portuguese queer human living in Denmark for quite a while discovering jewels every day, be it staring up and finding colors I have not seen, or a rare form of art in the streets or in a hidden institutional refuge, or the most soulful and crazy people I ever met. Since I have arrived here in Aalborg I have discovered a hidden passion for performance art and have been exploring that with friends and mentors. I'm also into writing A LOT. When i was a kid, I used to write in napkins everywhere I would go blending formats such as poetry, prose, whatever the dadaists used to do, and post-traumatic narrative.
Yoda (Iodá (black in Lithuanian; this was the original thought for Yoda's name)a black Norwegian forest cat and Benjamin Hugo (Danish poly-doer) co-habit an apartment with me in Aalborg giving me a lot of love.

Recently I have also been exploring music playing synth and theremins (love to play those two at one, my neighbors hate me though) and singing.

I am also a dancer. I have recently fallen in love with Butoh and been exploring that every time I can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting people and travelling (how can I not love those together?) so what is better than hosting travelers from around the world and being hosted in intimate spaces everywhere I could possibly go?

Interests

I have launched a platform called Experiri Embodied Art Performance here in Aalborg and we organize workshops where we explore different art forms from sound art to butoh, improv dance, physical theater, 'croquis writing', performance design etc. So when I travel I am always looking for similar workshops I can attend and explore different things. I am also a cinephile, I am really into art house cinema and experimental cinema.
I have been exploring photography for some performance art installations I have been working on but still learning!
