Hey everyone! My name is Matěj, but in case you find yourself struggling with those strange czech letters, feel free to call me Matt. :)

I'm:
an university student - focusing on the field of nanotechnology,
globetrotter who deeply enjoys getting to know new places,
bedroom electronic music producer and
photography enthusiast.

I have kind of an unusual mixture of personal traits, being interested in both science & technology (especially physics at the nanoscale and latest trends in general technology), business (startups) and art (contemporary art, visual art, forward-thinking electronic music.)

My personality could be described as "social introvert" - I'm somewhere in the middle between the person who gets really social and is the centre-point of every party, and that quiet, reserved guy who feels the best with his book and less people around. I always enjoy talking with (new) people, sharing ideas, discussing and learning from each other.

I've always loved the idea of hospitality, which might seem like an obscure concept in todays world, where, as they say "nothing is for free".
The couchsurfing concept totally defies this statement - not only you stay with people based on their generousity, you can also grow as you talk and share ideas with them, which results in couchsurfing giving you back much more than taking.
It's quite incredible :))

兴趣

Electronic music, especially the genre-pushing one, which focus on creativity and break the set paradigms - I make my own under my alias Noyire (and I'm always opened to new music suggestions of any kind!)

Art in general - cool ideas in photography, visual arts, movies

Science - somewhere at the border between math, chemistry and physics, especially solid-state physics and quantum mechanics

Technology - latest geeky stuff, early-adopitng of new technologies, technological startups

Philosophy - it's always enhancing to discuss the meaning of life, space and everything! :))

Travelling - the only way of spending money I whole-heartedly approve. Already lived for some time in three foreign countries and plan to get even further!
