About Me

Hello guys!! I'm a Colombian dude who loves to meet new people, like to talk, read, write, watch movies, cook (you should come if you want to try the best homemade lasagna or pizza in town hahaha) and hang out with my friends.

People say I'm funny, which is a problem when I say something serious because nobody believes me...

Right now I'm 31 years old and I live in Gainesville. I'm a former press advisor who worked with the Colombian government, but currently I'm studying english and applying for a Master's in Mass Communications at the University of Florida.

Back when I lived in Colombia I hosted 7 people from Couchsurfing and it was an amazing experience. Starting next August I'll be available to accept guests, and I'm looking forward to host people who like to share experiences, have fun and enjoy this beautiful city. Even though I'm not able to offer my house right now, I'm avaliable to do any plan in the city or show you around, in case you're interested.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Back in Bogota I started thanks to a good reference about Couchsurfing from my girlfriend who had traveled and couch a lot. She said it was a great experience and I felt like I should do it. It really was amazing!! I got to meet very interesting and lovely people, so now I'm looking forward to meet more and more folks.

I also love to travel a lot and I know that the best way to really know a place is when someone living there shows you the things, the places and the people they like the most.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Soda Stereo (the best latin rock band ever)... And I'm pretty much into all kind of music: rock, indie, dance, salsa, vallenato...

Movies: I love Quentin Tarantino (Pulp Fiction is the best movie ever), all Star Wars movies, Scorsese's movies. I also love series: GOT, Narcos, Breaking Bad, House of Cards, Scandal, The Black List.

Books: The best book I've ever read is Crime and Punishment from Fedor Dostoievski and the second one is The Shadow of the Sun (Ébano, in spanish) from Ryszard Kapuscinski. I like to read Latinamerican authors, and a lot of non fiction literature.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

As a journalist, I revealed an audio of a business man telling the truth about how he won an election to a chamber of commerce by using non legal practices. Was pretty amazing, I think. Also, I had and awkward handshake with President Santos and I have pictures of that moment.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you a lot of bad jokes... a loooooot.

And I can learn the most weird words from other languages.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share stories, if you want to. And of course, a beer.

Countries I’ve Visited

Aruba, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Taiwan, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
