About Me

I am a brazilian studiyng abroad. I am living in Dublin, Ireland and studiyng Sciences and Engineering at Dublin City University.
I am a new user of this platform, because normally we have a facebook group from brazilian studiyng abroad, where we can offer a couch or ask for host. But, the difference of this group is that here I have the opportunity to meet people from other countries, to learn different languages, and share experiences.
Here there my facebook profile, where you can find more information about me:

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have never been in another country before, and living outside my birth country is a amazing and unique opportunity, which I want to enjoy fully. I guess a important way to enjoy that period of my live is travelling, meeting another countries, and amazing places. But, I think it's important to meet another cultures too. It's different go to a country, and go to a country and be hosted for someone that lives in that country, that know every place, every culture, every singularity from that country. It's the reason that I choose to enjoy that site, to meet another countries, but also to meet another people.
I want to meet every single piece of this world. I am just a begginner, have a lot to learn, but I believe that the most important is the first step. And I am ready to take each step necessary to accomplish my dream.

Interests

Travelling. I want to improve my knowledge about art (every type of art), and I find out that to travel is the right way to improve it. Also, I really love history, another way of improve my knowledge about history is to know the history of other countries. And, finally, learn languages. I am fell so proud of people that can speak different languages, I think that it's amazing. So, somehow I believe that all my interests are connect to one in special: travelling.
Doesn't sound like a engineering student, does it? Actually, I accept the fact that I love everything about human sciences, but I just cannot resist of a good math challenge, and as my brother and father are very good in exact sciences, I have a little influence from my family.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a very eclectic taste for Music. I just love music. Rock, HipHop, Pop, MPB (In english is something like Popular Brazilian Music, it's a Brazilian's style of music, it's amazing, it's like poetry but sung).
To be quite honest, I don't like dubstep. Just, don't make my style. I like music with lyrics, I really enjoy to hear what the singer has to say. Actually, this really help me to improve my english. I just couldn't hear a music and don't understand what the singer was saying, so I heard english music and searched for translate. That's help me a lot. And now I know what they are saying!!
Now, about movies. As a human science lover, I just love every type of art. However, the seventh art is something that consumes me. I can spend I entire day just watching movies, since the must ridiculous movie, until classics as the performed by Lars Von Trier. So, I guess it's unfair talk about my favorite movies, all movies are my favorite movies. So I will just cite some of my favorites directors: David Fincher, Lars Von Trier. Tarantino, Fernando Meirelles, José Padilha, Tim Burton, Hitchcock, Christopher Nolan, The Wachowski Brothers (Sense8!!!!!!!!) . I am pretty sure that I left a lot of amazing directors out of this list, but I pretend to update this every time that I remember.
Books. So so unfair. I can just don't like a book. Everything that I read, somehow I find a way to connect to my life, even the most superficial book.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Move to Dublin. I guess one amazing and grateful part of my live started when I move outside my birth country, so I could see the world as it really is. And, I have to say: it's huge!!

What I Can Share with Hosts

As I said, I am a beginner. It's the first time that I live my birth country, so maybe I have more to learn, than share. However, I want to show to my hosts how amazing Brazil is. I left my country six months ago, so I am still so strongly connect to it, that I can just stop to talk about how I love that country, and I want that the world be curious about what Brazil has that make people love it so much.
Music, literature, movies every country has it's unique art. But I fell particularly proud of my country's art, and I will fell very happy to share that knowledge with my hosts. Also, I recommend to search about coxinha, and pão de queijo. It's just a sample of our amazing culinary (PS: I know how to cook it!!).
