Hi! My name is Dean Martin Richards, I was born near Mönchengladbach in Germany and I am living now Hamburg.

I've been studying History and German for two years, but now I'm studying a specific private Film-study to become a director.

I already worked at a gas station for over two years, as salesman, waiter, taxidriver and many other different jobs.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to visit other countries without living the normal tourist-life, where you are hosted by a five-star-rated hotel or so. Because in this case I think you won't meet other people and different cultures in the world as good as you can do it as a couchsurfer.

Interests

I am interested in nearly every film and book, different cultures and history.

Also I really like filming and (to be honest) I love Wikipedia.
Concerning to Wikipedia I have to say, that it seems like I have a little addiction to this website. I am hanging around on this site two or more hours a day.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: My favourite genres are Dubstep, House, Electroswing, Metal, Reggae, K-Pop and crossings of those.

Movies: I've got 3 all time favourites: Birdman, American Beauty and Mad Max: Fury Road

Books: I own more than 200 books and my favourite would be the "Psychology of the Mas" by Gustav Le Bon.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In October 2014 I took part of a Video-Contest, that has been sponsored by Wikipedia. While I have been living in the centre of Berlin for a weekend, wihtout paying a cent, I have been able to hold two speeches in front of over 200 people.
It would be great if something like that would happen again!

As a former student of german and history I can tell you a lot of stories, that most people even don't know about their own country. If you want to, I can teach you german in a simple way, and even when we are connected about Couchsurfing oder Facebook I can help you out with that.

Because of my general knowledge and my Wikipedia addiction, I can discuss with anyone about nearly anything.
