Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I often travel to conferences related to the issues that the university addresses. Then, the CS will be a great opportunity to meet people and new places, the outside world.

Interests

I have great interest in smiles, hugs, moments between friends and family. A beer or a vodka and good conversation, wherever it may be, becomes something memorable and rewarding. I admire participation in social activities. Meet new things fascinate me, since childhood, I collected magazines with scientific innovations (for young people), newspaper clippings with photos of historical sites. See the newspaper a teachable moment. I'm always surrounded by friends from different religions, ideologies, desires, dreams, and I try to understand. It is this search for the new, which makes us more human every day.

Music, Movies, and Books

When it comes to music, I am eclectic. But I confess that my eyes shine brighter when I hear Brazilian popular music. I like movies that have a true story as a script, or containing historical facts. Movies that make me think about the meaning of life, the pursuit of dreams, happiness. Are movies nationals or not. About books, do not read much, i have little time for literature than those recommended by the university. But I like tales of JK and Brazilian literature especially Manuel Bandeira, Ariano Suassuna and Jao Cabral de Melo Neto. I am currently reading The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.

Live in the interior of Pernambuco, Brazil. Taking part in a world conference for the environment, with 12 years. And pass the entrance exam was also unforgettable, was my dream!

Teach, Learn, Share

In life we learn that people are individual beings to have a unique way of thinking, acting, feeling, in their worlds. But at the same time they are plural beings need for mutual interaction to live. Are fantastic creatures! Every day in medical school, learn to deal with people and difficult situations, deal with life. Every experience in my daily life becomes a teaching, which extract lessons to follow. I think other people need to understand this characteristic of humanity, so we can live in harmony. I share the idea that dialogue is the fullest way to gain affection.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm from a place Brazilian quite marked by its mix of people, colors, ideas ... their culture. It would not be difficult to prepare a typical dish here (couscous, feijoada, tapioca ...), teach some local dances (frevo, forró, xaxado, maracatu ...), tell the story of some tourist sites and talk about how happy me I feel to be where I am. It would be an amazing experience. But also I would offer my time and my curiosity, to know a new place that has its singularity and history, would be fascinating.
