My upcoming trip to South Korea will be my maiden solo. Looking to be in Korea for ~2 months from 10th May 2016 on. Will be travelling around with no fixed itinerary, so all is flexible.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm a slow-starter when it comes to people, so I'm really hoping that couch surfing will help me grow out of that slow start. I've backpacked a couple of times, but I've always been with my friends. I've lost interest in the touristy stuff like shopping and attractions though. Through couch surfing, I'm looking forward to meeting new people in new countries, and hoping to have greater insight into their country and way of life by living with them a couple of days at a time!

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a fan of rock music (actually more of band sounds) through and through. My favourite band is yellowcard (if you don't know them, that's cool. If you do, you're awesome). Not a fan of pop music, but I do dabble a little here and there.

Thrillers and action movies kinda lost their draw, though I catch them with friends occasionally. Instead I love animation films like Big Hero 6 and Inside Out.

Used to like fiction, now it's more of non-fiction.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Haha, I've got to admit, growing up in Singapore meant I haven't done anything really spectacular. But if I had to say one amazing thing I believe I had done, it would have to be serving the army for 2 years (something all Singaporean males must do). It was a crazy experience, complete with breakdowns and feeling high. In a way, it makes me curious to know how our armies are like from an insider's point of view haha!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm still young, like really young and inexperienced so I believe I have a lot more learning than teaching to do. Will love to share whatever experiences I have and learn from as many people as possible

Honestly, I haven't couchsurfed yet so I don't have a good idea of what I can share. For now, I think all I have is just me, what I've been through in my life living in Singapore.
