Some might say I'm quiet but I prefer to think of myself as an observer. I talk and socialise when I need to but I'm more than happy in my own company and love the freedom of travelling solo.
Im dead keen on the natural world and feel most at home in the wilderness marvelling at everything nature throws at me. I'm that person on a hike who has to stop every few minutes because there is a cool bug or a nice tree to look at. Biology just fascinates me.

I recently quit my job and am now travelling solo with not much of a plan and no restraints- just me and my backpack in search of adventure. Current playground: Borneo

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My brother has had some great couch surfing experiences and I thought I'd give it a try myself.

Interests

Call me a nerd but I bloody love bugs, especially spiders and bees.
A few other things I love include hiking, kayaking, diving, drinking tea, mountains, swimming in a chilly mountain river/lake, a good sandwich - especially if it comes with a good view!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I've got a few odd tidbits of interesting (useless?) facts up my sleeves to whip out in conversation. Love to exchange a few travel tales or listen to/spin a good yarn.
I'm not huge on cooking in other people's kitchens but I can whip up a meal or some baking if you like.
