我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

In the coming six months I will do an internship in Rotterdam. I have lived in several cities in the Netherlands. However, I have not lived in Rotterdam yet and do not know the city so well... it would be fun to meet new people. I am curious to the community of Couchsurfers in Rotterdam and it would be I great opportunity to get to know the city and its people!

3 months ago I did, together with friends, a hitchhiking trip to Italy. After a full day of hitchhiking, we arrived in Basel, but we did not have a place to stay. We randomly met a guy who offered us a place to sleep. This was so kind of him! It was amazing to stay for a night at his place, and he told us a lot about Basel and about his own life. Although we did not use the couchsurf platform, I experienced that the concept staying with locals is really amazing! Of course, I am not always so lucky to just randomly meet someone, as happened in Basel.
Fortunately, there is something like couchsurfing :)
