About Me

I'm a 23-years-old German student and traveller. Currently, I study International Business and Management in Groningen but I'm always planning the next trip. I'm very outgoing, open-minded, talkative, and highly interested in other cultures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couchsurfing because I think it is a great way to meet others and learn about their cultures.
So far I have only made great experiences with couchsurfing and really like the idea of helping others out.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like listening to all kinds of classic rock from the 60s until the 80s.

My favourite book is "Survival in the Killing Fields"by Haing Ngor as it is so authentic and it completely changed my worldview. I have learned more from my time in Cambodia reading this book than any school can ever teach me. If you read what has been going on in Cambodia in the 70s and notice that you have never heard anything about it, you really start questioning the western worldview and education system.

My favourite movies are "The life of Brian " and "God bless America". In general, I like comedy, action, and Zombie movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I have been to Padang in Indonesia I wanted to sleep at the airport to catch my early morning flight at 6AM. However, the airport was closed during night and when closing it the airport police asked me where I am going to sleep. I told them that I need to be at the airport at 4AM again anyway and will just sleep in front of it. Then they said that they didn't like the idea at all and invited me to sleep in the police station. We've had an awesome time, drank coffee together, hit the city and had dinner together. The next day they even drove me to the airport although it was not their shift.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I've only got a small student room and cannot offer you much in terms of luxury. I don't have a sleeping couch and just a small Ikea couch and one of these inflatable camping mats. Anyway, I'm good at improvising and I'm sure we can figure out a good solution.
I can offer you hospitality, sharing stories, help with getting around the city, a location at the edge of the city centre and plenty knowledge about various cultures.
