At 18, I moved to England to start my university course in Hospitality. I met my boyfriend in the meantime and have "settled" here for now.
A foreigner who doesn't have enough to be X, but doesn't feel enough to be Y neither.
I am very lucky to have a job and a partner who allow me to travel so often and sometimes, for so long. Travel is my only focus and goal. I do not care for growing a career, building a business nor creating a family.
I like to travel alone, long-term, with a small backpack on, meeting loads of people on the way and finding ways to connect with the locals. However, every trip teaches me something, every trip is an experience, so I treasure any memory I make, no matter the type of travel.
I can never answer where this passion (almost obsession) started from. I was always sure I wanted to live abroad and move around quite often. I am attracted to very different cultures and ways of living. I have a need to understand why we do things the way we do, why we think the way we think. This is the part you can help me with! 😁 No better way to dive deep into the roots of the culture than meeting and staying with the ones who live it every day. I'm a bit shy at first, but after breaking the ice, man, I can talk! I am seen as cheerful and energetic. I like to goof around, make others laugh and have a good time.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I'm joining Couchsurfing to meet more like-minded people both at home and across the world, while on my trips. I'm quite shy at first, but just break the ice and I'm a social clown. 🤪
I hope to meet interesting locals who can show me around or just point me in the right direction to find local gems and hidden places only known to them. Sometimes, I may be looking for a place to stay. I always do my best not to bother others and I keep my space very clean and organised, so hopefully, I won't be a burden for you.

I am always open to learning something new and have a new experience. Either it turns out good or bad, it's a memory nonetheless! Just don't ask me to do some crazy near-death activity like bungee jumping, because...nop. 😅
Since young I have always loved dancing. I never did it professionally, but it's something that was and is daily present.
I also love doing papercrafts. I have my own travel journal that I keep creating as I go, and any leftover of paper is used as celebration cards.
Of course, I love travelling, exploring the culture, learning languages, etc, etc, etc.
I'm curious about photography, archery, ice skating, skiing, among others.

I appreciate all things differently. No major favourites, no major dislikes. I love listening to music (dance to it too, of course) and watching films and series. I admit I'm not the biggest reader when it comes to books, as I listen to podcasts and documentaries more often.

I can share knowledge about my trips, any destinations I've been or how to travel solo. I speak fluent English and Portuguese too, if that's of interest.
I am open to learn or try anything, really. Just maybe no crazy near-death activity. 😅 Nothing against it, but just not my thing.

I can guarantee an open person who will have genuine interest in their culture and ways. My friends know me as chatty and cheerful, always goofing around and making others laugh. I am a big food lover as well, so we can eat out or cook some meals together. And I'm always up for trying something new. Memories are stupidly important to me. Either good or bad, I enjoy every experience with positivity.
In return, I can share knowledge of my trips or of solo travelling, of life in England or Portugal in specific. I love doing papercarfts, and I speak fluent English and Portuguese if it's of interest as well.
