Photography and image making can be described as a calling on my life, which gives meaning towards my purpose and destiny. The soul within my ideas always drew me back to a direction that I couldn’t totally grasp because my abilities didn’t match with the tasks ahead. I can recall at a very young age attending a photography camp experiencing the culture of Bermuda where I was born. At the age of 5 I moved to the United States with my parents and siblings and it is there that I discovered different aspects of another culture. My faith has deepened my curiosity to seek and understand various forms of imagery and to develop an appreciation for differing views around alternative culture with their associated imagery. Through photography, I discovered the essence of who I am. When you take a photograph, I believe you learn something each time you look through the view finder. Being a photographer helps me to understand and balance concepts such as the transfer of human expression through emotions. As I create an image, I unconsciously dive into a world of ideas.
