One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In Petra-Jordan staying on top of the highest mountain and watching the sunset. Coming down from that mountain in the dark, discovering that Petra was as good as empty, except for the annoying locals that try to sell you a donkeyride by day. Those locals seemed to be much nicer after sunset and offered us tea while playing their traditional instruments!
By then it was past 8 pm and we headed back to the siq where people were lighting candles everywhere. Petra by night was almost ready to begin. People pay an extra 50 dollars to see this but as we never actually left Petra we had it for free and for our own!
