Overview
About Me
First and foremost I'm not an writer or English major so please bare with me. Constructive criticism is welcomed hahaha.
Downtown Los Angeles, CA born and raised. Standing at 6ft tall I'm a very well rounded individual. I have a bit of an OCD problem hahaha! Meaning I'm very organized and clean. I love to cook, teach, and learn anything that is foreign to me.
I never went to college but I did serve in the Military where I learned all my little crafty skills from rock climbing, mountain survival, and even jumping out of helicopters. I'm somewhat of a social individual and love to get out when I have time, which is not very often due to having a busy work schedule.
I'm definitely more of an outdoor individual than a nightlife type of guy. But I don't mind putting on some nice dress clothes every now and then. I don't drink or smoke but that doesn't mean I don't know how to have a good time :P
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My purpose is not only to couch surf. I would also like to offer my place out to individuals who are interested in my area. It's roughly an hour from some great places in Southern California such as Big Bear, Joshua Tree, Idyllwild, Los Angeles, and San Diego.
It is indeed somewhat of a rough neighborhood in San Bernardino but it's a free place to stay.
Please contact me for additional details. It's a very clean, one bed, one bath, kitchen, small living room, with wifi. Laundry is on premises. I remodeled it a few months ago so it looks good.
p.s. NO SHOES ON MY CARPET hahaha.
The other reason for me couch surfing is to get out of my state or country and explore. I recently went on a two week solo road trip from Southern, CA to St. Louis, MO and wish I could have had someone to enjoy the trip with or just the opportunity to have some locals show me around. The trip wasn't too bad but it could have been a lot better with local guidance. I think with local help I could have had additional time on my trip to explore many more beautiful areas on the way to my final destination.
Interests
Well as you can see from my pictures I love to get out and enjoy life when ever I can. From paint balling to exploring California on my motorcycle. I love live music festivals, concerts, or checking out local bands. Some of my hobbies include a variety of instruments.
During my time in the military my passion and love for shooting grew on me so I'm always taking family and friends out to local shooting ranges to lay down some rounds. I'm a volunteer route captain with the MS Walk in Irvin and SD, I've helped train the Young Marine Program in safely Repelling down mountains, and a member of a world wide first response team with Team Rubicon.
Something I'd like to try in the near future would have to be sky diving. Some other long term goals I'd like to accomplish would be learning a new language, hiking the Pacific Crest Trail, and completing a triathlon.
Music, Movies, and Books
I'm definitely into different types of music. I don't discriminate unless it's vocabulary is off putting. In addition to that it has to have a catchy beat that I can either move my head to or move my hips to. By the way I love dancing.
As for movies, well, I like most movie genres and I'm not going to lie I even enjoy chick flicks every now and then. Not really into scary movies because they bore me. Except for "As above So Below" that was a crazy but awesome movie.
NON FICTION, that's all I have to say about that (:
p.s. I need to read more often.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
This is a hard one. I would have to think about this a bit more.
Teach, Learn, Share
Sharing life experiences with fellow beings of this beautiful Mother Earth, I think, act's as a method of teaching. From one persons life experiences, there are outcomes, whether positive or negative there's always something being taken in. Those "somethings" are those life experiences that can be shared. And depending on the individual you're sharing with, he or she, could learn something of value.
With that being said I have many stories to share, a few things I could possibly teach, and so much more to learn. I love to listen so talk my ear off and lets enjoy meaningful conversation with a few jokes here and there just for kicks.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Willing to accommodate travelers stopping by for a few days. Please contact me for additional details.
I could share the California nightlife, mountaineering life, climbing life, beach life, shooting range lifestyle, food life, some good reads, and a smile. (*:
