Overview
About Me
Hey, I’m Suhair — originally from India, currently based in the UAE, with a heart that’s always halfway on a mountain trail or chatting under the stars. I’ve lived in India, Malaysia, and the UAE, and traveled to places like Nepal, Kuwait, Oman, and Georgia—each trip a story, each face a memory.
I’m curious by nature, grounded in simplicity, and driven by a quiet fire to grow, heal, and experience the world in its rawest, most human form. Whether it’s learning from strangers, hiking to remote villages, or having soulful conversations over chai, I live for connection.
Currently managing IT projects, with a background in computer science. I’ve also dipped into marketing, data analytics and navigating chaotic tech rollouts—so I come with stories, empathy, and maybe a few survival hacks.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To me, travel isn’t just about places—it’s about people.
Couchsurfing helps me connect with locals, hear stories that don’t show up in guidebooks, and share pieces of my own culture and journey. I believe in meaningful conversations, shared meals, unexpected moments, and the joy of being reminded that we’re more similar than different.
Whether I’m surfing or hosting, I’m here to meet kind souls who value authenticity and connection.
Interests
Travel and Nature – Hiking, especially remote places like Mestia or Ushguli. Quiet mountain trails heal me.
Cultural Curiosity – I love exploring how people live, cook, and celebrate across cultures.
Conversations – Deep talks about life, purpose, growth… or funny ones about everyday absurdities.
Fitness and Recovery – I’m recovering from ACL surgery and into rebuilding strength at the gym—so resilience is a big theme in my life right now.
Music and Food – I lean toward soulful music and hearty food—both in equal doses.
Minimalism and Inner Work – I’ve been exploring self-reflection, breaking old patterns, and trying to live with more awareness.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Ushguli/ Mestia, Georgia – The Mountain Before the Knife
A week before I was supposed to fly to Georgia, I tore my ACL. The doctor recommended immediate surgery. But this trip—especially to Mestia and the Caucasus mountains—was something I’d dreamed and planned for with all my heart.
So, I went anyway.
With a torn ACL and a full backpack, I climbed those mountains. Slowly, carefully, but with a fire inside. Every step was a mix of excitement, caution, and quiet triumph. And when I finally stood there—surrounded by peaks and silence—I knew I’d made the right call.
I had surgery soon after returning. But those days in Ushguli? Unforgettable. They reminded me that sometimes, when something deeply matters to you, your soul leads—even if your body is limping behind.

What I Can Share with Hosts
If you’re crashing at my place, expect a small but clean setup with good vibes, occasional homemade meals, and respect for your space. I’m mostly out during work hours, but evenings are open for chats, walks, or sharing stories over a humble dinner.
I’m happy to help with local insights or show you my favorite budget-friendly food spots. I’m not into parties, but I’m all in for meaningful moments.
