Hi there! My name's Lydia. I am binational: long short story: my dad came to Lisbon with a friend who practically forced him into it. The reason of it? He was miserable because the end of one of his love stories. Little did he know he would meet a beautiful mated skin portuguese woman, who happens to be my lovely mother :)
After a long relationship, they finally married and decided to stay here, in Lisbon. My dad still wanted me to attend a french school -Lycée Français Charles Lepierre, which is located in the heart of Lisbon. It allowed me to keep my french roots, and furthermore, it allowed me to become a polyglot. I talk really well Portuguese, and French, my two 'native' languages. Added to that, I speak fluently English. Likewise, I comprehend almost everything you say in Spanish, and I manage to talk it intelligibly without much problem even if I can be rusty here and there. So if you come to Portugal, and talk one of this languages I will gladly give some touristic advices about the city and even the country! :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I came across with the concept of CouchSurfing when I was 16, in my English class (thanks Ms Clarke!)

I created my account in Couchsurfing, because I never really had the chance to travel a lot. When I was younger, I used to go to my grandparents house in France, and nothing more besides it.
Growing up, my parents began to have monetary problems (it sucks), and I never had the chance to travel.
Through out the years, my desire of meeting other cultures and countries never stopped growing! I am eager to meet new faces and new countries. And with Couchsurfing, I further believe it will happen!

Interests

I love dogs, sports (jogging, basketball, since I'm quite tall,...), studying, taking photos of everything.... I don't know what to write in here, it seems so awkard saying what i like to a computer, maybe you can know me better if I host you or you host me :)
