Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've just embarked on this absolutely bonkers road trip, spanning the entire west coast of America with two lovely ladies. Of course, English sterling is hard to come by for a mere peasant like myself, so your hospitality and charity would be much appreciated! I shall show you my appreciation with a limitless supply of cups of tea! Spiffing stuff old boy!

Music, Movies, and Books

Bit of a metal head really! But love all soundtrack music, ambient stuff, minimalism, postmodern classical and of course the greats: Beethoven, Debussy, Wagner, etc... Just like music I have no favourites in film really, but I love Leonardo DiCaprio and watch everything he's in, I love the odd silly comedy as well - Jim Carrey springs to mind! At the moment, I'm reading 'Revolution' by Russell Brand and 'Man's Search for Meaning' by Viktor Frankl.

Teach, Learn, Share

Music composition is my main passion - music for films, TV shows, games, adverts, you name it. But I am also very interested in taking part in a Lifemusic course, to become a practitioner. To facilitate sessions where people can communicate via the musical form, embedding music into communities using various improvisational techniques. This has many applications, including the facilitation of those with learning difficulties and/or physical disabilities and other forms of therapy. On a side-note, I'm learning a bit of French everyday during my own time just to quench my need to learn until I'm back in education.

What I Can Share with Hosts

An enthusiasm for music, impeccable good manners, my British charm and hopefully a laugh or two! I am always up for conversation - whether it's an interesting philosophical/political debate or a silly conversation about dogs over a good, stiff drink or two! Of course, I'd love to be a helping hand where possible and will do anything to facilitate an amicable stay.
