About Me

I am a Spanish living in the best city of France, Marseille, land of sun and rats. I came here almost two years ago and instantanously I fell in love with it, the Cours Julien, Noailles, Malmousque, the hidden beaches of Montredon... Even that I'm always discovering new places I could say I know Marseille as good as many locals. Here they pay me for doing a PhD in atmospheric chemistry but mostly I'm gathering with my friends for having some beers or listening to some good live music. Also I'm trying to get a degree in Philosphy little by little in case I get bored of chemistry.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

If I'm travelling beacuse meeting locals is the best way - and probably the only one - to learn about the culture, the hidden spots and they real way how people live in your city.
But also I'm in Couchsurfing to show the same things to people in Marseille and while learning about you and your culture.

Interests

Music, reading, cinema, travelling, learning languages, swimming in the sea, waking up in a tent or just having a good talk with some beers.

Music, Movies, and Books

This can be long, I will try to sum up:

MUSIC: Stoner rock (Colour Haze, Kyuss,...), Post-rock (GY!BE, 65daysofstatic,...), Progressive rock (King Crimson, Pink Floyd) other classic and psychedelic old rock (The Doors, Led Zeppelin), French instrumental hip-hop (Hugo Kant, Boggie Belgique), and many other genders like balkanic, klezmer, flamenco, funk...

FILMS: Kubrick, Lynch, Cronemberg, Coppola, Aronofsky...

BOOKS: I really love The Tin Drum from Gunter Grass and The electric kool-aid acid test from Tom Wolfe but I also like everything written by Borges, García Márquez, Cortázar, Valle-Inclán, Hesse, Dostoyevsky, Kafka...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hitchhiking in Bulgaria, drinking beers on the magnolias with my friends, sleeping in a box in Nice's beach because my friend lost her flight, or surviving some stoner rock festivals.

Teach, Learn, Share

We can drink pastis in Champ de Mars, go to the best tea place and falafel in Marseille or have a swim in Malmousque. Also I can teach you Spanish and things about my region in Sapin, Asturias, overall about Asturian cider.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Denmark, France, Greece, Italy, Morocco, Netherlands, Portugal, Slovakia, Taiwan, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
