Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The reason I joined couchsurfing is because I believe traveling is not just about the destination you go to, but the experiences and people who you meet along the way. As cliche as it sounds, I truly believe that the beauty of a city lies within the people there and the memories you make while staying in it. Couchsurfing is a fantastic way, in my opinion, to do exactly that. To be given the opportunity to meet new people and be fully embraced in different cultures and alternative life styles is a unique opportunity and an ideal way to travel.

Interests

When it comes to hobbies, my saying is the more the merrier! I have been playing sports my entire life. Lacrosse has always been a passion of mine. After years of elite travel club play, I will be continuing my career on to the Division 1 collegiate level.

I love to hang out with friends and I can listen to music for hours. One of my favorite things to do with friends is to just drive, with the windows down and the music blazing, and see where we end up.

Most of all, I love to travel. Growing up, I was fortunate enough to have parents that encouraged family travel. Whether it was roadtrips, a lacrosse showcase, visiting family, or a vaction, they've allowed me to visit and see over half of the states in America. Additionally, international travel has become a staple in our holiday breaks. This year alone, I was able to see a different country in Europe during summer, fall, and winter break. Now that I'm older and going out into the world on my own, my personal goal is to see as much of it as possible and embrace myself in as many different cultures as I can.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music. I love listening to it with the windows down it the car, I love listening to it in the shower, and I love being able to sit down and listen to it for hours on end. While I enjoy listening to various types and styles of music, rock music is by far my favorite genre. I love to read as well. There is a certain satisfaction of flipping through the pages of a book and reading the words that another person so carefully thought out. One of my favorite books is Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer and, of course, the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling.
