Hello everyone, I'm Batuhan who lives in Ghent,Belgium as an exchange student in Ghent University. I'm studying at Translation and Interpreting Studies. I can't say I'm so chatty but I really like meeting new people and trying to act like a local instead of a 'tourist'.

What else? I am honest and sincere. I respect everyone so I expect the same for me, as well. By car, by bike or on foot, I always want to go new places and learn the history of what I see. Until now, I got various experiences from my own country but thanks to exchange student programme, it's time to travel other countries to explore.

P.S. : I don't smoke and I'm very sensitive about leaving clean whatever I use.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I've heard Couchsurfing from lots of people which makes me curious about it. I'd like to live in different cultures and have some nice time with local people. That's why I'm here.

兴趣

Learning more about anything. What makes my life worth living is what I've learned until I die. Jogging and cycling are my favourites for relaxing. Also watching documentaries about nature and space can be very exciting for me. Because they take me from where I'm sitting to other worlds. Apart from raw meat, I can try every local food. I think local foods are one of the key features to learn that culture because local foods contain what grows in that area.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I've gone to Belgium as an exchange student and it's my first step for discovering Europe. Now, I'm trying to see many different cities and countries as much as I can.

I went to Netherlands border with my bike.

I discovered over 15 European cities, walking between 15-20 km for each. I didn't feel my legs at last but it worth for every step :)
