About Me

I'm an easy going guy that likes to think that i'm a traveller. Been away for a year together with my girlfriend Alyanne (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/alyannevandenes) in 2013/2014 and spend 9 months of it in a campervan in Australia. After arriving back home i got the famous need to travel, but have been working sadly enough since then. Now (June 2016) i finally decided to stop working and go travelling again. But on my own this time!

But besides of that i'm a nice and funny guy and have been working in the hospitality industry for over 10 years now. So i know how to act social and nice to other people ;). Love hanging out with people but can use some 'private days' as well.

Interests

I love to go out with my mountainbike and do some biking in the area.
Hard to call it mountainbiking, because of the Netherlands doesn't have any mountains. But it's good fun driving through the forrest and playing around in the sand and mud.

Besides of that i like everything that is outside (as long as it is sunny!). Could be hanging out with a drink or other activities like walking, swimming or surfing!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Not really amazing, but a great story to tell tho...

February 2016 i went on a journey to Nicaragua for a month. At least, that was the plan. I got bitten by one of the million stray dogs this world has to offer. The doctors in Nicaragua said i would be fine (it was more of a scratch then a real bite), but my insurance company decided different.
Within 12 hours they arranged a private airplane to fly me to a private hospital in Costa Rica. They gave me a Rabiës shot there and put me in a fancy 5 star hotel for 2 nights. After those 2 nights a had to fly back home to get some more shots.

So at the end, my month Nicaragua became a week. But with enough action for a whole month ;).
