I am from a little island of the Atlantic Ocean called Gran Canaria, but I moved to Madrid because of academic interests. Currently I am a student of English Studies in the Complutense University of Madrid, where I am studying the last year of University.
During my University days I have learn a lot about linguistics and English literature. The thing is that I am an enthusiastic of the language, the word, the meaning and its social context. This is one of the reasons why I decided to do my formal practice in a journal as a translator. My job is to translate articles of tourist interest from Spanish to English and vice versa.
Furthermore, I have been participating in a Translation Project led by the Complutense University of Madrid, which is called "The dramatic text as a tool for the exercise of translation and foreign language acquisition". As well, I am learning German and French in a language academy.
Personally, I am a determined, independent and strong-head person. I have not finished my last year of University but my ambition to achieve the perfect job that fixed with my knowledge, makes me to apply this vacancy. I am a hard-working person and I consider myself tenacious.
It is my goal to combine my personal and working experience with my ability of being a passionate, enthusiastic and well-trained student who will make a positive contribution to your company.

I voluntereed in a working camp at Ogasa, Cataluña (Spain). Where I repaired damages path, restoring monuments and revitalizing this zone between planting plants an flowers.

I could share my knowledge of Spanish gastronomy, I cook a tasty tortilla española or "papas arrugadas con mojo picón" from Canary Islands.
