I am a student from California living in southern Germany for 12 months while I study. I love music, exploring cool places and meeting great people from all walks of life and backgrounds. I love to play guitar and am a bit of a novice with bass guitar and drums. Music and creative pursuits are huge parts of my life, especially as an architecture student. I am very open-minded and respectful. :)

Living in Germany has been just about the most life changing experience of my life. In a good way!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A really great way to see a city is to experience it through the people that live there, and that is something unique to couchsurfing, that you cant get in a hostel or other accommodations. I think its great to have a network of people who are so open to others and helping out fellow travelers. The kind of people who open their home to strangers are the kind of people worth meeting.

If any people come to my very small city I would be very enthusiastic to show them around, but until that day, I hope I can meet new people through seeing their cities.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a big fan of psychedelic, garage and surf music, as well as folk, music from the 1950s-70s, dream pop, alternative rock, you name it.

When it comes to film I really enjoy dramas and movies that really make one think. Movies by the Coen Brothers are some of my favorites.

When it comes to books I like Jack London and Cormac McCarthy. Outside of those authors some of my favorite books include The Forever War, A Canticle for Liebowitz, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo trilogy, and the works of Tolkien.
