Hi, I'm Sam! I'm kind of a quiet adventure type. I love going to new places and seeing old things and holding the experience close for what it tells me about my place in the universe. I'm big on tea drinking, cookie baking, antique shopping, beach meditating, animal cuddling, and tarot reading. I'm good at conversations, but if you're more of an introvert, I also am good at sitting peacefully and sharing quiet time. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to travel and see new places, but I am a full time college student, so seeing these places from a luxury hotel is pretty hard. Plus, I love meeting new people and hearing their stories and couchsurfing provides the perfect environment for that!

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a huge movie fan so it's hard to pick a favorite, but here are a few of my favorites: Amelie, Moonrise Kingdom, Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind, and I'll probably add more as I think of them, and see them!

As far as music goes I enjoy a little bit of everything, but I tend to stick to indie rock/pop and some folk fusion.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 17 I co-directed one of my favorite plays in the world, What The Time Traveler Will Tell Us by Joseph Fink and Jeffery Cranor. We were the only other production besides the original and contacted the creators themselves to get the rights. This was before their hit podcast Welcome to Nightvale began gaining a huge following.

Teach, Learn, Share

English is my first language, but if you are learning french, I can make a great conversationalist in both languages. I'm also a pretty skilled chef that can teach anyone the basics of cooking as well as a few flares. I am also a semi talented seamstress who can teach anyone to make a skirt.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have been a babysitter for about 7 years now and am pretty great with kids. I have plenty of references if you are interested and would not mind taking care of kids from 3 months and upward. I have also been cooking since I was a little kid and can make a mean batch of chocolate chip cookies. Also I am pretty handy with a sewing machine if there is anything you need hemmed or repaired, or if you would like a few lessons.
